DCI Women's Peer Mediation Program

Since the fall of 2016, the Dayton Mediation Center has worked with women at the Dayton Correctional Institution and trained them to become peer mediators.

The program began as a way to help reduce the occurrence of interpersonal inmate to inmate conflict and create an environment where inmates feel like they can seek out peer mediators to help deal with conflicts early.

Each year, the Dayton Mediation Center hosts a fundraiser to help keep the program running.
